Answers. Be quick and stay under cover if you have grenades save them for a big group of guys. If you have no ammo try to pick it up but still stay down. if your last resort is punching them then avoid the bullets by hiding and zigzagging. if you have no gun and all there is is a crappy one you need it you always need a gun in crushing mode.

Well I am now on chapter 14 after playing it about 3 hours last night. Not a bad jump from chapter 4 the night before. So far I have to say the end of chapter 4 was the hardest. Use grenades to clear rooms or groups of enemies to close. Aim your shots and dont just spray with the AK because some of the shots arent detected by the game and you just waste ammo. Basically just focus on your aiming. Its very possible to beat the game on Crushing without cheating. PSN - XxSMSxX.

Reducing difficulty level mid playthrough?
The game saves for every chapter on which difficulty you've completed it. So once you beat a chapter on crushing, the lower difficulties are saved as completed as well, no need to start over. You could also just lower the difficulty to hard on chapter 6 and then go back to crushing on 7 or 8.
